Senior Compliance Manager to Group Compliance at ISS
Take on a key role at the intersection of financial reporting, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance in a global organisation
On behalf of ISS World Services A/S, Basico is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Compliance Manager to join Group Compliance at the global headquarters in Søborg, Denmark.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible role at the crossroads of finance, ESG, and governance. You will take ownership of the Group’s sustainability statement, drive key parts of the annual report process, and contribute to the broader reporting and compliance agenda in a large international organisation with high standards and broad stakeholder exposure.
About the role
You will become part of Group Compliance in ISS Group Finance — a central team at Group headquarters responsible for the Group’s annual report, including both the financial statements and the sustainability statement, while ensuring compliance with and advising the business on IFRS, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy.
As Senior Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and driving the Group’s sustainability report. You will own the sustainability statement, lead important parts of the annual report process, and contribute to management review content and the broader reporting agenda. You will also support the financial statements process in close collaboration with colleagues who remain responsible for significant parts of that content.
You will join a highly skilled four-person Group Compliance team that has recently resumed responsibility for CSRD and plays a central role in ISS’ wider compliance and reporting landscape.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning and developing content for the Group’s sustainability statement
Driving the annual report process, including coordination across functions and development of key content sections
Leading the audit and assurance process related to the sustainability statement
Acting as the internal subject matter expert on CSRD/ESRS and EU Taxonomy
Partnering closely with the ESG Controlling team on accounting policies and sustainability metrics
Supporting and facilitating the Group’s double materiality assessment process
Collaborating with and advising the Group’s sustainability leadership forum
Your stakeholders
In this role, you will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the ISS organisation. This includes teams such as Financial Controlling, People & Culture, Health & Safety, Global Operations Climate Impact, Procurement, Group Legal, and Group IT. You will also interact with the Group’s external auditors in connection with the assurance of the sustainability statement.
Your profile
We are looking for a strong finance profile with hands-on experience in sustainability reporting and regulatory compliance. You may come from a Big 4 environment or from a similar in-house role in a large international company. Most importantly, you combine technical insight with sound judgment and a genuine motivation to deliver reporting of the highest quality.
We expect that you bring:
A solid finance background combined with experience in sustainability reporting
Hands-on experience with CSRD implementation and the preparation of both sustainability and financial statements
A relevant academic background — ideally cand.merc.aud. or State Authorised Public Accountant
10+ years of relevant professional experience
Full professional proficiency in English with excellent written communication skills
Personal strengths
To succeed in this role, you are likely someone who:
Builds strong relationships and navigates stakeholders with confidence
Communicates clearly and convincingly in writing
Works in a practical, structured, and solution-oriented way
Has strong project management capabilities
Takes initiative and ownership while maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail
Thrives in an independent role with broad responsibility
Why join ISS?
This role offers a strong development opportunity for someone who wants to work at the forefront of financial and sustainability reporting in a large international organisation. You will gain broad exposure across the business, work with complex and evolving regulations, and play a visible role in strengthening ISS’ reporting and compliance agenda.
