Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

On behalf of our customer Quantica – an international group – Basico are looking for an exceptional Group CFO to architect and lead the financial infrastructure of Quantica's newly formed holding company based in Denmark.

Quantica is a venture-backed additive manufacturing technology company pioneering breakthrough printhead innovation. They have developed proprietary high-viscosity jetting technology (NovoJet™) that enables printing with functional materials previously considered impossible.

The opportunity

You'll transform the financial operations from a single-entity startup into a professionally managed, multi-jurisdictional group ready for rapid scale and institutional investment.

Based in Denmark, you'll navigate complex international accounting, multi-entity consolidation and high-growth financing while maintaining startup agility.

Core responsibilities

Financial architecture & Group structure

· Design and implement financial governance for holding company based in Denmark across international entities

· Lead post-merger financial integration, harmonising systems and establishing group-wide controls

· Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.

Financial operations & scaling

· Build scalable financial systems support continued growth

· Manage multi-currency operations, inter-company financing, and cash flow optimisation

· Maintain rigorous liquidity management across jurisdictions

Strategic finance & investor relations

· Partner with the CEO on Series A/B/C fundraising, due diligence, and term sheet negotiations

· Deliver executive-level insights to Board and manage relationships with VCs (Novo Holdings, EIFO etc.)

· Serve as primary financial contact for investors, auditors, banks, and tax authorities.

Leadership & team building

· Lead recruitment and development of a small, international finance team

· Partner cross-functionally with CTO, operations, and commercial teams

· Manage distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

What you bring

Required:

· 10+ years’ finance experience, 5+ years as CFO/Finance Director at high-growth tech companies

· Multi-entity expertise: Managing finances across multiple jurisdictions (Denmark, Germany or EU)

· Startup/scale-up experience: Fundraising cycles, burn rate management, rapid growth

· International accounting: IFRS, local GAAP, cross-border consolidation

· Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent)

· Fluent in English; German or Danish is a strong plus.

Preferred:

· Experience from deep-tech or hardware environments

· Experience with growth transformations or complex change journeys

· ERP experience (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics)

· Familiarity with international markets and investor reporting

Location
